The Start Smart program is a free driver safety education class, hosted by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), which targets new and future licensed teenage drivers and their parents/guardians. Attending a Start Smart class is required for all students in order to apply for a parking permit to park on campus. A parent/guardian must attend a Start Smart class with their student. Students DO NOT need to have their license to attend and are only required to attend one Start Smart class during their high school career.

Please print and complete the application below and turn in all appropriate paperwork to Mrs. Favela at the Cashier’s window after attending a Start Smart class. Our Cashier’s Office will be provided with a list of students who have attended.
