When and where is graduation?

VCHS graduation will take place on Wednesday,  June 15th at 6pm in the Jaguar Stadium.  The graduation ceremony traditionally takes about an hour.

 

How many family members / guests are allowed to attend?

Each graduate will be provided 10 tickets for family and guests to attend.  Ticketed entry will begin at 5pm and open entry for those without tickets will begin when the ceremony starts at 6pm.

 

What time will the gates open to enter?

The gates to the stadium will open for guests with tickets at 5pm.

 

Will there be a live stream for friends and family that cannot be there in person?

Yes, VCHS will be live streaming the graduation ceremony for anyone who is unable to attend. The live stream link will be available on the VCHS website (vchs.vcpusd.org) on the day of the event.

 

How do I order a cap and gown?

Orders for gaps, gowns, and announcements for graduation can be placed online at http://jostens.com or over the phone through the  Jostens Service Center at (858) 486 2020. When will caps and gowns be distributed?

Caps and gowns will be distributed on Friday, June 10 at Senior Checkout.  The distribution will take place that morning and the exact schedule will be released when it is available.

 

How/when will tickets for the ceremony be distributed?  

Tickets will be distributed directly to students during Senior Checkout with the cap and gown distribution on the morning of Friday,  June 10.

 

When will diplomas be distributed?

Diplomas will be distributed to students directly during the graduation ceremony on June 15th.

 

Where do I park for graduation?

The primary parking location for the graduation ceremony are the VCHS upper and lower parking lots.  Handicap parking is available in the lower lot and will also be provided along the side of the gym building.  Overflow parking will be provided to the best of our ability in our dirt lots.  Please be aware that parking is limited and we cannot guarantee parking for everyone.

 

Where is handicap/wheelchair accessible seating located?

Handicap/wheelchair accessible seating is available directly above our home bleachers in the stadium and our stadium provides wheelchair access to many of our designated seating areas.

 

Will pictures of the graduates be taken?  Where can I get those pictures?

Yes, pictures of all graduates will be taken by Lifetouch and orders can be placed online after the event.  Ordering information will be available on the VCHS website after the event.  Typically photos are not available for ordering immediately and may take a couple of days.

 

Will there be a graduation rehearsal / practice?

Yes, all graduating VCHS seniors are required to attend mandatory graduation practice each morning Monday June 13th, Tuesday June 14th, and on the morning of graduation Thursday June 15 at 8:00am.  All students wishing to participate in the ceremony must attend the practice or they will not be able to participate.  Students must contact the school ahead of time if complications arise preventing them from attending.  

 

What time will students need to be there for graduation?

Students will need to arrive no later than 4:45pm for the graduation processional lineup.  Students will enter through the lower stadium gate and will be directed to the baseball field area for checking and processional preparation.
